    • Gardin Wedding

      $17.00

One of the Gardin women must navigate a season rich with unexpected challenges in the follow-up to The Gardins of Edin, a heartwarming story about love, forgiveness, new beginnings, and what it takes to get there.

Martha Gardin is a mess, and no one knows this better than the women in her family. Good-hearted but often misguided by distrust and insecurity, Martha is known for stirring up drama. That’s why Ruth, Naomi, and Mary are pleasantly surprised when Martha mellows out after she begins dating one of the most eligible bachelors in town.

Handsome, well-connected Oji Greenwald is everything Martha hoped to find in a man, and it’s only a matter of time before he pops the question. Rarely caught off guard, Martha is accustomed to getting her way. But when it appears she’s finally about to have the life she’s always wanted, a crisis in Oji’s family brings out Martha’s tendency to try to save the day her way, and the divide deepens between her and Oji’s already indifferent mother, Eve.

Confronted with these unforeseen challenges to her plans, Martha finds herself on a journey that forces her to fully acknowledge her previous mistakes and reconcile her past. But will it be enough to deliver her the future-and the love-her heart desires?

    • Cost Of Ambition

      $24.99

Many people believe that ambition–striving to be better than others–improves us and advances society. But what if it actually makes us worse?

In The Cost of Ambition, world-renowned theologian and award-winning author Miroslav Volf argues that striving for superiority has negative consequences in all domains of life. Instead, we should strive for excellence. Volf explores:

*what Sren Kierkegaard, John Milton, and the apostle Paul say about the cost of ambition
*how we can achieve excellence rather than strive for superiority
*how to stop being plagued by our own sense of inferiority to others
*why Christians must retrieve a humbler way of life

Volf also examines what the teachings of Jesus and the stories in Genesis say on the matter. Volf explains how striving to be better than others devalues our achievements, surroundings, and relationships by turning them into mere means to an empty goal. This pursuit, though widely accepted in modern life, is at odds with key Christian convictions.

After exposing the toxicity of ambition, Volf uses contemporary examples to guide us toward striving for excellence.

    • Virtues Of The Saints

      $29.95

Besides the graces of the Sacraments, God has another way for us to grow in faith from a mustard seed into a giant tree. And that way is a life of virtue. A virtue is a habit, something that must be practiced daily if it is to increase. At our Baptism, we received the virtues of faith, hope, and love. In this children’s book, authors Patrick O’Hearn and Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, with beautiful illustrations by Adalee Hude, describe 15 of the most important virtues for boys and girls. We begin by defining the virtue. Next, we provide that virtue’s root meaning followed by an example showing how one saint, from Our Lady and St. Joseph to St. Kateri Tekawitha and St. Carlo Acutis, and many more, lived out that virtue. Finally, we conclude with a prayer for that virtue. The best thing we can ask from the saints is a share in their virtues! May these holy men and women inspire you, your children, and your grandchildren to begin practicing the virtues of humility, justice, faith, hope, love, fortitude, generosity, gratitude, meekness, patience, perseverance, piety, prudence, spiritual joy, and temperance. Color illustrations throughout.

    • Chosen Book Five 40 Days With Jesus

      $16.99

      You are called to surrender.

Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

Unfortunately, we live in a world that values personal feelings and desires more than objective truth. We’ve even changed our vernacular to accommodate our self-centeredness and ever-evolving relationship with the truth by calling it “my truth,” as though truth changes depending on the person claiming to know it.

But when it comes to following Jesus–the One who called Himself the Truth–we don’t get to curate our beliefs about who He is or what He taught based on what we’re comfortable with.

In The Chosen – Book Five, you’ll be challenged to surrender to the harder teachings of Jesus. Together, may we endure His words with ears that hear. May we be soberminded. And may we hold fast to the Truth, no matter how unpopular His teachings have become.

    • IVF Is Not The Way

      $18.95

In a May 2024 Pew poll, more than two-thirds of Americans indicated they thought that IVF (in vitro fertilization) is good and should be accessible to anyone who wants it. Even among social conservatives – including the current U.S. administration – there is a push for wider accessibility for artificial procreation options. But is IVF truly the gift for infertile couples that it’s perceived to be?

In this thoughtful, eminently readable guide, Stacy Trasancos examines the issues associated with IVF through scientific, philosophical, and theological lenses and traces the history of artificial procreation and the developments of moral teachings to reveal syllogistically why IVF is not the “way of life.”

Drawing from her own research into the development of this teaching and the testimonies of those who have used or considered IVF, Dr. Trasancos addresses the concerns and ethical considerations related to IVF from an interdisciplinary perspective. She answers a range of pivotal questions, including:

*How can IVF be opposed to human dignity if it allows couples to bear new life?
*How are children conceived through IVF impacted by this decision?
*What do we as a society do about all the embryos in cryogenic storage?
*What are the Five Principles of Human Life?
*Why exactly does the Church oppose IVF?
*What rights do human embryos possess?
*How do we love embryonic children?

Through riveting case studies, Dr. Trasancos also deepens our understanding of the cross of infertility and, in doing so, provides those who long for a child with a reassuring supernatural perspective that God will always provide us with exactly the gifts we need most. Throughout these pages, seemingly pulled from today’s headlines, Dr. Trasancos reminds us, with both candor and sensitivity, of the fundamental truth that children are a gift and that every human has a right to be loved.

    • I Killed Maria Goretti

      $18.95

“I know I am not worthy of her help, yet she is to me in my darkness of sin what the bright and shining star is to the mariner, for her pardon gives me hope.” – Alessandro Serenelli

Through vivid storytelling, this historical account reveals the disturbing influences and grim motives that possessed Alessandro Serenelli, St. Maria Goretti’s murderer. Yet it is much more than a chilling tale; this true narrative is a testament of transformation and redemption – God’s mercy shining forth through the most seemingly hopeless of situations.

Just as great literature and spiritual writing have the power to transform the soul and spur it on to heroic deeds, the force of immoral prose can corrupt and even drive the soul to unspeakable deeds. In part 1 of this book, Pietro Di Donato chronicles Serenelli’s early life and addiction to licentious and anarchical publications. In part 2, Serenelli’s harrowing journey unfolds, culminating in his crime against Maria, the young girl who chose purity and forgiveness over despair. This stunning story brings to life Serenelli’s long imprisonment, his struggles with guilt, and the redemption he experienced through Maria’s saintly intercession.

In the gripping pages of this classic, you will find:

*How unchecked passions and sins of the mind often lead to sins of the flesh
*Reminders that the light of grace is ever present, especially in your darkest moments
*Heroic forgiveness, even from Maria’s family, for Alessandro’s heinous crime
*The healing power of God’s infinite mercy, even for the most hardened sinners
*How the intercession of a saint in your life can help you attain salvation

Alessandro’s story is not just a reflection on his ultimate repentance but an inspiring witness to the power of faith and the redemptive love of Christ. Ideal for those seeking conversion, spiritual renewal, or a deeper understanding of reconciliation, this narrative is a beacon of hope for believers and nonbelievers alike??.

In constructing this searing account, Di Donato recounts his meetings with St. Maria’s sister Ersilia, friars who lived with Serenelli during the later part of his life, and Serenelli himself. Discussion questions are also included for personal and group reflection.

    • Whole : Spirit, Soul, Mind, Body

      $19.95

“This book is a result of one of those beautiful exchanges between God and myself where He’s doing all the talking, and I’m just listening and getting excited by what I’m hearing. It was so fun when, in my spirit, I heard, “Whole.” That was it. And then there was a picture of a perfect silver apple. Somehow, I knew exactly what He meant! God wanted to do a work for the women of our church, bringing them into an experience and position of truly being whole. The apple represented what happened in the Garden when Eve ate of the forbidden fruit. And the picture of the apple as I saw it now was perfect-complete and restored. Whole. That represents exactly what Jesus has done by His death and resurrection. He has restored us to our original standing with God, and it’s a perfect work! He wants to use this book to take you on that journey of complete restoration. Whole: spirit, soul, mind, and body.” Sam Evans, author.

    • Nevertheless : American Methodists And Women’s Rights

      $16.99

2020 marked the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. While some things have changed, others haven’t.

This book tells the story of American Methodist women’s efforts fight for women’s rights, beginning with the Women’s Christian Temperance Union and ending with the #MeToo movement. Each chapter documents particular Methodist women and provides the reader with a basic historic context of the time or situation at hand as it shows how Methodist women engaged and fought for women’s equality or women’s rights in American society and American Methodism. The faith of these Methodist women emboldened them to reach beyond their social confines to find political avenues of social justice. As women engaged in mission, they sought to not simply fix social ills but to prevent them from happening again. They addressed the causes of oppression; and by stepping out of their place, made a place for others.

    • Entangled : A History Of American Methodism, Politics, And Sexuality

      $39.99

The United Methodist impasse over human sexuality has its roots in two dichotomous ideologies of history and theology.

This book maps how American Methodists have responded to sexual change since World War II. It argues that the current United Methodist impasse over human sexuality has its root in the existence of two dichotomous ideologies of Methodist history and theology–one liberal and one evangelical, which come to the foreground in discussions of human sexuality. It offers evidence about how these ideologies have sought to reconcile their sexual ethic with sexual change since the birth control movement of the 1920s. In post-WWII America, most Methodists upheld a limited notion of family life and sexuality, one that allowed for the use of artificial contraception within marriage and for divorce. In response to the sexual revolution, liberal-leaning Methodists upheld a new sexual ethic, “the new morality,” which peaked with radical new approaches to sex education, a full endorsement of abortion rights, and support of the homophile movement. However, “the new morality” coincided with an increased presence of and a new voice for evangelical Methodists, Charles Keysor and the Good News Movement. Evangelical Methodists critiqued “the new morality” as value-neutral and anti-Scripture. The evangelical desire for a rules-based morality solely reliant on Scripture collided with “the new morality” and led to intense debates over sex education, abortion, and the inclusion of LGBTQ persons within the United Methodist denomination from the 1970s onward. Since 1972, United Methodists have continually debated “human sexuality” at each General Conference, primarily through the advocacy efforts of political caucus groups. This author hopes that an historical examination of how Methodists have confronted sexual change will enlighten current conversations about human sexuality.

    • Homeschooling : You’re Doing It Right Just By Doing It

      $24.99

Be encouraged! You’re already “doing it right” just by doing it.

      – a must-have resource for parents who homeschool or who want to start
      – from the founder of the 1000 Hours Outside Movement
      – equips parents with the confidence and tools they need to give their children the education they dream of and deserve

During the past five years, homeschooling rates have been on the rise and show no signs of slowing. But many parents lack confidence, questioning whether they are doing it right (or whether they should take the plunge at all). With so many voices offering conflicting advice, it’s hard to know where to start and where to go from there.

A homeschooling mother of five and founder of 1000 Hours Outside, Ginny Yurich draws from her years of experience and research, as well as her master’s degree in education from the University of Michigan, to encourage and equip parents who want to give homeschooling a try or want to improve their experience.

Starting from the standpoint of “you’re doing it right” instead of “you’re doing it wrong,” Ginny helps parents understand that just by choosing to homeschool they are:

      – learning through living
      – allowing for individual timelines
      – leaving space for boredom
      – providing multiage experiences
      – teaching self-reliance
      – offering freedom
      – slowing down
      – and more

If you’ve been on the fence about homeschooling or wondering if you’re doing it all wrong, let Ginny encourage you in all you’ve already accomplished and equip you for even greater things ahead.

    • Understanding The Sacraments

      $16.95

Why is the Catholic Church different from any other church? First, the Catholic Church is the only church founded by Jesus Christ Himself. All other Christian churches were founded by an ordinary man or woman. Second, the seven Sacraments. These are not just symbols but God’s guaranteed grace. They are Biblical, as they were instituted by Christ and entrusted to His Church. It is Christ Who acts and communicates His grace through Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, Reconciliation (Confession), Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders (Ordination), and Matrimony. In his engaging style, Fr. Chris Alar, host of the popular “Explaining the Faith” online talks, takes us “back to seminary” for a refresher course on what all Catholics should have learned. He answers such questions as, Why do we baptize infants? Where is Confession in the Bible? Is my marriage valid? And many more. “As St. Thomas Aquinas taught, ‘You cannot love what you do not know, ‘” Fr. Chris says. “I hope you will come to love your Catholic Faith more deeply, in a way that will change your life! And if you have already learned about the Sacraments, I believe this book may be a good review and a source of some new information. Let’s get started!”

    • Love Is A Journey

      $51.42

Love is a Journey is the remarkable story of Albino Luciani, known to the world as Pope John Paul I, from his harrowing birth to his tragic death just 33 days into his 1978 pontificate–the shortest pontificate in history. After years of dedicated archival research, and after interviewing dozens of figures in the Catholic hierarchy, as well as Pope John Paul I’s niece, author Mo Guernon explores Luciani’s family history, personality, and character to reveal the very essence of the man who became known as the Smiling Pope. Guernon analyzes Luciani’s major public pronouncements and his most significant writings, which shed considerable light on his fundamental beliefs and worldview. In the concluding chapters of the book Guernon assesses Pope John Paul I’s legacy and journey toward sainthood–and the beguiling question of how the Catholic Church might have evolved had his pontificate endured through the 1980s and beyond.

The events of Luciani’s life are so compelling, so remarkable, so fast moving, that the narrative reads like a novel. Guernon paints a multi-dimensional portrait of the man that prominently displays his virtues and shortcomings, successes and failures, heroic deeds and personal doubts about his own courage. He highlights Luciani’s progressive views of issues of his time, the crises in his personal and priestly life, his discomfort with the spotlight and his anxiety about succeeding the popular Pope Paul VI, the relative simplicity of his inauguration as pope, and the unprecedented power he wielded on those with whom he came into contact both personally and through the mass media. Above all, Guernon attempts to capture the pope’s mysterious ability to engender love among people of all faiths, and nonbelievers too, with his inimitable humility and almost divine smile. A striking example of his influence came from punk rocker Patti Smith, who was so enamored of Luciani that she wrote a song about the pope and dedicated her 1979 album, Wave, to him.

Pope John Paul I’s impact on the world during his 33-day pontificate was simultaneously profound and perplexing–and, until now, underappreciated. In little more than a month, the Luciani dazzled people of all ages, races, and nations while modernizing the papacy and establishing an ambitious agenda for promoting peace and dialogue among all peoples, a program subsequently carried out by his successors, particularly Pope Francis. And in fact Pope Francis established the Vatican Pope John Paul

    • They Like Jesus But Not The Church

      $19.99

Many people today, especially among emerging generations, don’t resonate with the church and organized Christianity. Some are leaving the church and others were never part of the church in the first place. Sometimes it’s because of misperceptions about the church. Yet often they are still spiritually open and fascinated with Jesus. This is a ministry resource book exploring six of the most common objects and misunderstandings emerging generations have about the church and Christianity. The objections come from conversations and interviews the church has had with unchurched twenty and thirty-somethings at coffee houses. Each chapter raises the objection using a conversational approach, provides the biblical answers to that objection, gives examples of how churches are addressing this objection, and concludes with follow-through projection suggestions, discussion questions, and resource listings.

    • Threaded Bible Study Plus Streaming Video (Student/Study Guide)

      $24.99

Have you found your place in God’s story?

God’s story is a divine tapestry, intricately woven with intention from the beginning. Every thread connects the past, present, and future, revealing a Creator who intimately leans into your brokenness and chaos to bring redemption. From the first moments of creation, when God’s Spirit hovered over the waters, a plan full of shalom–wholeness and harmony–was set into motion. Humanity once walked in communion with God, but when we deviated from His design, sin began to unravel the beauty. Yet God’s love and plan never wavered.

Through the Noahic, Abrahamic, Mosaic, and Davidic Covenants, we see God’s faithfulness and His desire to restore creation. These promises build toward fulfillment in Jesus Christ and invite us to weave our lives into God’s larger narrative.

This six-week Bible study by author and pastor Tara Beth Leach explores these sacred threads, helping you see God’s redemptive hand in your life. No matter where you are in the story, there’s a place for you in His plans for restoration and renewal.

      This study guide includes:

*Engaging and evocative group discussion questions and activities

    • Natural Law : 5 Views

      $34.99

The story of “natural law” – the idea that God has written a law on the human heart so that ethical norms derive from human nature – in twentieth-century Protestant ethics is one of rejection and resurgence. For half a century, luminaries like Karl Barth, Carl F. H. Henry, and Cornelius Van Til cast a shadow over natural law moral reflection because of its putative link to natural theology, autonomous reason, associations with Catholic theology, and ethical witness devoid of special revelation. However, over the past twenty years, Protestant theologians have renewed their interest in the subject, often animated by debates on Christian involvement in the public arena and on matters of life, death, and gender and sexuality. Much of this engagement has happened within Reformed circles and has largely been conducted without reference to Roman Catholic construals of the natural law. Conversely, Catholic developments in natural-law thinking have paid little attention to the surge of interest on the Protestant side. As a result, Protestant and Catholic natural proponents – and even those skeptical of the natural law – are not in conversation with one another.

The lack of dialog between the various schools of natural law has left a historic tradition within Christian moral thought underdeveloped in contemporary Protestant theology. By bringing together a variety of perspectives in much-needed conversation, this book helps readers to understand the various construals of natural law within the broader strands of Christian and classical traditions and clarifies its unique importance for Christian moral witness in a secular culture. The contributors address the following questions:

      *What is natural law?

*Can moral norms be derived from immanent, creaturely ends? If so, how specific or action-guiding can those norms be? How extensive might these moral norms be?

*How does natural law endure despite Christian insistence on the noetic, epistemological effects of sin?

*What is the relationship between Christian reflection on natural law and the broader classical tradition’s understanding of natural law?

*How do Catholic and Protestant construals of natural law differ?

*What is the relationship between faith and reason?

*What’s the relationship between human nature and natural law?

*Does “natural law” mean: “secular moral reasons”? Or is “natural law” merely religious belief disguised as public reason?

*How does natural law relate to public re

      $25.00

      Foreword by Emmanuel Katongole

On October 25, 1993, Maggy Barankitse buried seventy-two bodies in a mass grave on the grounds of the bishop’s house in Burundi, a day after she was made to watch as they were murdered in a fit of ethnic violence. What happened next would save tens of thousands of children from death and despair during a protracted civil war.

Love Made Me an Inventor is how Marguerite (Maggy) Barankitse describes how she has been able to accomplish her life-saving work. In this first-ever authorized biography in English, readers will encounter her extraordinary journey from survivor to founder of Maison Shalom and the name “Angel of Burundi.”

For twenty-two years Maison Shalom provided care for mothers and children devastated by war and ethnic violence in Burundi. Then, after narrowly escaping an assassination attempt in 2015, Maggy’s work shifted to helping Burundian refugees in Rwanda through education, healthcare, and community services.

      $53.33

The first step of any great journey can be the riskiest one of all. It is 1992, and the nation is reeling from the AIDS pandemic. When Fr. Demetri, a newly ordained Chicago-born priest, visits Bob-a man dying from complications due to AIDS, abandoned by his own parish priest out of fear-his life takes an unexpected turn. That single act of compassion sparks a deeper calling to social activism, setting him on a path he never anticipated. Yet nothing prepared the hard-nosed priest for a face-to-face encounter with a convicted murderer years later. Andrew, who is scheduled to be executed in less than three weeks, maintains his innocence regarding the grisly crime. But when the governor of the state-the inmate’s last hope-refuses to show mercy, the priest must again face the true cost of his calling.

    • Lies My Therapist Told Me

      $32.99

From beloved Christian counselor, professor, and podcaster Greg Gifford comes a bold critique of the mental health establishment. Therapy can backfire and fail, but Christ offers more.

Too many people are caught in a vicious cycle of visiting every doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist, and therapist in their area only to find frustrating labels and numbing medications at the end of each path. Rather than eradicating anxiety in the same way vaccines conquered smallpox, the mental health establishment has seen the number of diagnoses and prescriptions skyrocket on its watch.

How did we get here? And does Christianity have any answers for this mental health crisis?

In Lies My Therapist Told Me, Dr. Greg Gifford delivers the definitive Christian critique of secular psychiatry and psychology. He shows how mental health culture spreads beliefs that misinform our understanding of ourselves and our issues, and he debunks popular myths such as:

*We feel and act the way we do because the body keeps the scores of trauma
      *Addiction is a disease
*If you improve your brain health, your mind will follow
      *Medications can heal your soul
*Every abnormal or sinful behavior is caused by a mental disorder

These ideas, though common, are ultimately unhelpful because they are based on unbiblical assumptions. Gifford brings clarity where secular therapy has created confusion, and offers hope even for those struggling with the hard cases. Through deep research, biblical teaching, and the inspiring stories of real counselees, he shows why we can’t blame the past –or even a diagnosis– for our bad behavior, and why our society’s growing unhappiness is not primarily a medical issue.

With a foreword by Todd Friel of Wretched Radio, this book is a must-read for counselors and counselees alike. You can read all the mental health research in the world, but you still won’t learn God’s answers for winning the battles in your mind. Lies My Therapist Told Me is a powerful, cutting-edge argument that the supernatural wisdom of the Bible is truly enough for every need.

    • Swimming Against The Current

      $18.99

NOW A NATIONAL BESTSELLER (USA TODAY)!

America’s most sought-after voice in the fight to save female sports shares her unbelievable story and inspires readers to embrace common sense and truth in discussions about women’s rights.

Riley Gaines has been called many things: Collegiate athlete. All-American. Champion. But in 2022, everything changed. The narrative shifted. Now, critics smeared her as: Transphobic. Narrow-minded. Evil.

What changed? Riley gave the truth a voice. She stood up, spoke out, and dared to ask questions — not just for herself, but for all female athletes who refuse to accept an ideology where “inclusivity” for trans-identifying male athletes now means treating women unfairly.

Riley Gaines is changing minds in the process, and this highly anticipated, fearless, pro-woman book takes on controversial but critical questions we must confront about women (and sports) in America. Can’t we embrace policies that give everyone the chance to compete but still protect women and ensure they have a fair shot at success?

In this book, Riley scrutinizes the perspectives of athletes on the opposing side of this debate, deconstructing their arguments with science, facts, and logic. She also asks what has happened to free speech and dissent in this country, where it now seems nearly impossible to have a well-reasoned debate. And in telling her story, Riley reveals what’s at stake if the truth-seekers remain silent about the injustices women face from radical agendas.

    • Multigenerational Church Crisis

      $24.99

Harness the strengths of every generation to create a church that endures

      – open the lines of communication
      – appreciate the experiences that shaped each generation in your church
      – unite in one mission to impact your community and the world

It may seem hard for younger Christians to believe that people over 50 were raised during an era when 90 percent of Americans identified as Christian. These older believers were once part of a majority group that understood the mission of the church was to take control of our culture to halt its evils. At the same time, Christians under 50 have lived their entire lives perceiving themselves as a minority that needs to make credible their faith to a secular, pluralistic culture.

These distinct experiences and perceptions have a profound impact on the priorities different generations have for church ministry. It’s no wonder that younger and older believers don’t always see eye to eye! But imagine what could be accomplished in the name of Christ if we could better understand each other and turn that understanding into shared purpose and aligned priorities?

Backed by thorough research, this eminently practical and hopeful book from pastor and scholar Bryan Chapell shows you how to open the lines of communication, appreciate the experiences that shaped each generation in your church, and unite in one mission to impact your community and the world.

    • Passionate Pursuit : Sustaining The Zeal Of Personal Revival

      $18.99

Transform a life of spiritual dryness into a life of spiritual zeal:

      – vital revelations, biblical wisdom, and practical principles
      – ignite a vibrant, contagious relationship with Christ
      – from a seasoned revivalist and pastor

In an age of excess, the primary enemy of revival is “enough.” When you’re comfortable and full, you lose the desperation required to keep a heart on fire for Jesus. Ultimately, our “enough” leads not to fullness, but to empty, cold hearts.

Igniting the fires of personal revival, seasoned revivalist and pastor Kim Owens shows that a heart on fire for Jesus is the antidote to apathy and complacency. Sharing vital revelations, biblical wisdom, and practical principles discovered in a 10-year-sustained revival, Pastor Kim equips you to:

      – transform a life of spiritual dryness into one with spiritual zeal
      – maintain a holy desperation for God
      – prioritize a passionate pursuit of Jesus
      – experience a vibrant, contagious relationship with Christ

There will be no personal revival if there’s no personal pursuit. In these difficult times before Christ’s return, it’s imperative we live in his presence and fullness, on fire with zeal and passion. This is not optional. This is what Jesus shed his blood for.

    • Remember And Rehearse

      $22.99

Stories are powerful. Few things on earth rival the power of stories. Humans are captured by stories, we are entertained by stories, and we live in stories. But it’s not enough to simply recognize that stories are powerful. We have to recognize that the power of stories can orient us to what is true, good and beautiful. And if they have this power, they also have the power to disorient us from what is true, good and beautiful. It all depends on the story itself.

There is one true story that you are invited to live in-the story of the Bible. From Genesis to Revelation the Bible is one true story that invites us to know and love God. But you can’t live in a story you don’t know. Remember and Rehearse will help readers understand the whole story of Scripture. Knowing the true, good story of God combats the false stories the world tells. Through the big movements of Scripture: creation, fall, the covenants, Christ, the Spirit and the Church, and the Kingdom without end, readers will discover the unfolding drama of God’s Kingdom coming to earth and how each of us are invited to be participants.

      In this book, you’ll discover:

    • Light In Our Eyes

      $17.00

For the millions who have felt disillusioned with American evangelical culture, this book is a lifeline for navigating the cynicism of both conservative and progressive beliefs to find real hope in the life and mission of Jesus.

As a pastor and author, Nicholas McDonald spent years helping people work through serious questions about the evangelical church’s gospel and its often hurtful responses to those confused by American Evangelical culture. He quickly realized that what these people needed-what he really needed-was not merely apologetics answers but the good news that speaks to their deepest dreams: love, beauty, and freedom-the very things Jesus promises to those who follow Him.

With excellent storytelling and profound insights from his own deconstruction journey, McDonald compassionately addresses the concerns so many readers have with the evangelical subculture’s sense of entitlement, nostalgia, and cynicism. And he outlines a clear path to finding restoration in Jesus. The Light in Our Eyes offers nine ancient practices to help you experience anew-or for the first time-Jesus’s love, beauty, and freedom and to embody and extend them in the world. Through the scriptural song of Zechariah and relatable, inspiring stories of men and women who have been restoried by the gospel of Jesus, this book reminds us that Jesus’ dreams fulfill what our hearts have longed for all along.

Journey from despair and darkness to faith and light as McDonald outlines a path to becoming reenchanted by the dreams Jesus has for each one of us, the church, and the world. To take up His dream is the invitation to believe again, and to hope again.
