Islam has hidden behind a faAade of goodness for too long. Too many people are falling for the sanitized and false version and continually suggest that Islam is a religion of peace and goodwill. Perhaps due to the fear of terror or familiarity, we seem only able to question the veracity of Christianity but shy away from asking the hard questions of Islam. Orthodox Islam is the force driving terrorism and unless it is discredited intellectually, the fire of hate and death that it has unleashed will not go away. The terrorists are not abusing Islam; they are the true Muslims who are overwhelmingly supported by the Quran and the examples of their Prophet, Muhammad. Other Muslims are in a state of denial. If Islam is good and true and if reasonable people can find it to be so, why does it entrap converts with the threat of death for apostasy? Why do Muslims claim that the Bible has been changed when the Quran says that no one can change the words of God? Why must we regard the Quran as truthful when it is full of plagiarism, anachronism, false information and hate? Why should we regard Islam as peaceful when it advocates the killing of Jews and infidels in cold blood? How can we trust its ethics when it allows Muslims to lie in its defence? Why must we not fight against it when it denies those in its domain the freedom of speech and the right to follow the dictates of their conscience? Why must God be labelled as unfaithful, inconsistent and a deceiver so that Muhammad can pass as divine messenger?
